Eurotrip 2 Day 3 . Luxemburg
Today we set off for Luxemburg, and arrived at the hostel at around mid noon...the hostel was quite exquisite...well it's Luxemburg...we decided to walk around instead of following the bike tour at 6 in the evening as we didn't want to wait to go out since it was already around 3 or 4 in the afternoon...
Luxemburg is full of steep slopes so should you get lost, tracing back your steps can get quite tiring...the centre of Luxemburg is actually surrounded by vast fortification walls, so we were actually in the 'castle' compounds as it was...the city centre features a valley that affords great views as can be seen in the pictures below...strong sunlight coupled with brilliant coloured cream walls contribute to the exceptional picture quality too...

while walking along the city centre, we found a really good place which sold branded goods at really good prices...I got Meiyi a belt and a wallet, while Keith got Grace a nice pair of DKNY shoes...
one thing I must say about Luxemburgians...they have really cool prams...they all seemed to be state of the art baby pushing machines...made of the latest in technology...titanium, suspension, disc brakes, height adjustment...every sort of luxury one could think of to pamper the oblivious little tike...they do have too much moolah...having one of the highest, if not the highest GDP of the world!
we also visited an exhibition featuring some WW2 German artifacts and old Luxemburgian stuff...I didn't find the WW2 German artifacts as interesting as the architecture of the exhibition space...while Rickey decided to play musketeer...

despite the fact that Luxemburg is constantly building, it still retains old world charm in some areas...

Walking along the old fortification walls, one could see vestiges of the new world in art installations of the most Dada proportions, or so I was led to believe...I mean...the pile of colourful palls I can understand, but the clothes hung in the fortification walls really got me puzzled...it has to be part of the 'art' piece since it's so obvious...the interior of the fortification walls is a tourist space, and I would scarcely believe it if the authorities did not notice this conspicuous exhibition of home wear... it has to be art....right?

In the evening, we sat down in the cool breeze and great view of the alfresco space of the canteen to play Big 2...
