We reached a hot Zurich, a far cry from the 12-20 deg we read about in the weather forecast before we left for this trip...the youth hostel was a pretty sight...looking pretty scandinavian.

we visited the science hub of the ETH and concurred with friends who had visited it previously and had found it wanting...nothing to shout about...

met yong jie, raimund's friend and had dinner with him and his friends who were also visiting him...i had fried pork liver with rosti...tasted kinda oriental...

15th


the morning started with a ferry ride...had to make full use of the transport ticket, even though it meant we had to trudge almost 20 min in the blistering sun just finding our way to the pier...

but it was worth it...

after getting off at the opposite pier, the merry duo decided to feed them swans...

after packed lunch at a nearby park, we popped over to see Calatrava's train station








we chanced upon a two-way mirror toilet...hmm...playing with a toddler outside the loo...what has the world come to??!!
