Today, we left early for Pompeii, passing by Napoli.
Lunch: Bread + corn + cheese + canned fish.
Dinner...now dinner is worth mentioning.
On our way back to Rome from Pompeii, we stopped at Napoli for dinner. We passed a oriental provision shop when we were looking for a place to eat. There, we bought many packets of instant noodles and some oriental canned fish, in bean sauce and in brine. While we were choosing, we witnessed a squabble between a customer and the shop owner; the owner had forgotten that the customer had paid, and were about to fight when the shop mistress stepped in. I was afraid they may, on impulse, use the chopper lying on the floor near them; it was used to chop the huge winter melons lying around.
Anyway, we were recommended to dine at the chinese restaurant nearby by the shop owner.
We took their advice and went there. The decor was quite traditional, with lots of red and gaudi ornamentation. It looked ok...I ordered seafood fried rice for only 2.5 euros. We also ordered a plate of shell fish which was only served to chinese. The food was quite good, more than I can say for our lunch...
